Careers England is the informed employer voice of career guidance
businesses in England. We currently provide publicly-funded
career-related services to young people and/or adults in more than
two-thirds of England’s 150 Local Authority areas (that is those LA
areas which include responsibility for Children’s and Young People’s
services, formerly described as Local Education Authority areas).

work with central and local government, with others involved in the
planning and procurement of career information, advice and guidance
services, with policy advisers and with strategic bodies to achieve
the strategic investment and policy framework that is essential to
the provision of effective career guidance services throughout
working life.
There is a strong base on which to build the partnerships that will
help us to achieve our vision of a world class, all-age guidance
system in England.
