13 to 19 Task Group

The Careers England Board has established four Task Groups to address issues of importance to the membership in services for young people (The 13-19 Task Group), adults (The Adults Task Group), all-age quality issues affecting career guidance services (The Quality Task Group), and most recently the all-age Workforce Issues Task Group.

Each of these Task Groups involves senior management/practitioners from within Membership, nominated by each Member. This ensures that the Groups are able to draw upon direct experiences of those delivering or managing direct delivery of front-line services for the public. Associate Members are also welcome to participate in the Task Groups.

Policy Papers, Discussion Papers, and responses to Government consultations et al are usually drafted with direct input from the Task Groups as much as the Board.

The 13-19 Task Group currently comprises:

  • Andrew Airey (Inspiring Futures Foundation)
  • Paul Chubb (Boundary Partnership - who acts as facilitator for the TG)
  • Helen Czudej (CSWP)
  • Stewart Farrar (Babcock Enterprise)
  • Joanne Finn (Aspire-i)
  • Ann Furminger (CXK)
  • Angie Gray (Connect South West - Somerset)
  • Katharine Horler (Connexions Thames Valley, who Chairs the Group on the Board's behalf, with secretarial support provided by Sarah Hunter)
  • John Jordan (Via Partnership - CXL)
  • Gary Longden (Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Futures)
  • Ray Pearce (Ansbury)
  • David Ritchie (HCS Careers)
  • Catherine Rowland (CfBT)
  • Colin Shorthouse (Careers South West)
  • Annette Wade (CASCAID)
  • Sally Weir (igen Group - Northumberland)
  • Alison Williams (Prospects Services)

Organisations with a direct involvement in the careers business world, and those with an interest in being associated with Careers England would be most welcome to discuss Full or Associate Membership with us. New Members would immediately be invited to nominate Members to join any of the Task Groups.

13-19 Minutes and Other Papers produced by/for the Task Groups are housed in the 'Members Only' section.
